Avani Lekhara wins Gold Medal, 2020 Paralympics, Current Affairs.
- Avani Lekhara won medal in women’s 10m Air Rifle Standing (SH1) event. She is a 19-year-old Lekhara and created a record at Paralympics by equalling the world record of Ukraine’s Iryna Shchetnik.
- Iryna Shchetnik had a record score of 249.6 in 2018.
- Cuiping Zhang of China won silver medal with a score of 248.9 while Iryna Shchetnik won the bronze medal with a score of 227.5.
About Avani Lekhara
Avani Lakhera is an Indian Paralympic shooter, she was born on 8 November 2001 in Rajasthan (Jaipur), now Avani Lakhera is only 20 years old. And she has also become the first woman to win a gold at the Paralympic Games, after being injured in a road accident that left her unable to walk due to a spinal cord injury and she took inspiration from the biography of Abhinav Bindra.
