Examinations for Railway 1.40 lakh posts will start from December 15-Railway Board. The examinations will be conducted soon by the Railways for the recruitment of vacancies in Indian Railways. In this regard, Railway Board President VK Yadav said that Railways will conduct the first phase of computer-based examinations from December 15. And this to fill approximately 1.40 lakh posts in three categories. He said that about 2.42 crore applications have been received for these posts.

Examination of the recruitment process applications for all three categories of various posts in Indian Railways has been completed.


He pointed out that in these vacancies guard such non-technical popular categories (NTPC). Office clerk, commercial clerk and another 35,208 positions. While There are 1,663 posts for categories like Steno and Teacher. And 1,03,769 posts for Level-One vacancies like Track Maintainer and Pointman.

The chairman of the Railway Board said that the examinations could not be conducted so far due to the covid-19 epidemic. Yadav said, “Computer-based examination for the three categories of posts will start from December 15 and a detailed schedule will be announced very soon.”
