India will no compromise on sovereignty and territorial integrity Rajnath Singh in meeting with Chinese Minister
India’s Foreign Secretary Harsh Shringla made this statement at a program. Foreign Secretary said, “We have never seen this kind of situation since 1962 (Indo-China war)”. For the first time in the last forty years, the soldiers lost their lives. ”He said that the unilateral action on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) of India-China was attempted (by the Chinese PLA) to change the facts.
Foreign Secretary Shringla’s statement came just before the meeting between Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and his Chinese counterpart in Moscow. Apart from the SCO meeting, there was a meeting between Rajnath Singh and China’s Defense Minister Wei Fenghe. On the martyrdom of 20 soldiers in Galvan, the Foreign Secretary said that for the first time in the last 40 years we have lost our soldiers on LAC. India may be insisting on talks to end tension, but it should not be considered our weakness.
Foreign Secretary Shringla said, we will face it strictly (Chinese interference) and stop it. As far as we are concerned, we will not compromise on sovereignty and territorial integrity. Until peace and tranquility do not prevail in the border area, business cannot run normally. This affects bilateral relations. We are a responsible nation, so we are always ready for talks. We are always ready to communicate. We have kept the path of dialogue open.
