The ICC has not been able to take any decision on the T20 World Cup .And this scheduled in October-November this year. In the meeting of the ICC Board through teleconference on Wednesday. The decision on the current T20 World Cup was deferred till next month.

The BCCI was waiting for the ICC’s June 10 meeting to get some clarity about its home season and IPL plans.

Here, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly wrote a letter to the state associations and said that they will decide soon on the future of IPL. Right in the empty stadium, the BCCI is ready to host this T20 tournament.

According to Ganguly’s letter about the possibility of hosting the IPL this year, “BCCI is working on all possible options to ensure that the IPL can be held this year.” Even if this tournament has to be held in an empty stadium. Fans, franchisees, players, broadcasters, sponsors and all other stakeholders are keenly looking in this direction.

According to the letter, ‘Recently many players from India and other countries participating in the IPL have also shown their eagerness to be a part of this year’s IPL. We are optimistic and the BCCI will decide its future soon.
