IPL: Rahul leads in Orange Cap race, Rabada with Purple Cap on top

Kings XI Punjab captain Lokesh Rahul has kept himself ahead in the Orange Cap race scoring 46 runs in the match played against Rajasthan Royals on Friday.

Rahul has now scored 641 runs in 13 matches. He is 170 runs ahead of second-placed Delhi Capitals’ Shikhar Dhawan. Dhawan has 471 runs. In third place is David Warner, captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad. Warner has scored 436 runs so far.

In bowling, Cagiso Rabada is ahead in the Purple Cap race with the most wickets. His name is 23 wickets. Jaspreet Bumrah and Mohammed Shami of Mumbai Indians are jointly second with 20 wickets.

In the team table, Rajasthan Royals beat Punjab on 12 points on Friday. Rajasthan is in fifth place, one place ahead of Kolkata Knight Riders. Punjab is at the fourth position. All three teams have the same number of points, but the difference is in net run rate.

Mumbai Indians occupy the first place in the score table with 16 points. Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals are in second and third position on 14 points.
