Rohit Sharma will join Test team

Rohit had a hamstring injury during the Indian Premier League, due to which he could not be part of the limited overs team on the tour of Australia. He will not be available for the first two Tests due to the isolation rules in Australia due to Corona virus epidemic, but he will be part of the team in the last two Tests.

A senior source of the Cricket Board of India (BCCI) told PTI on condition of confidentiality, “Rohit has passed the fitness test and he will be flying to Australia soon.”

Rohit’s fitness test was done under the supervision of NCA Director Rahul Dravid. Dravid was given the responsibility of giving him a fitness certificate.

Under Australian government rules, he will remain in seclusion for 14 days before practicing for the last two Tests to be held in Sydney (7–11 January) and Brisbane (15 January to 19 January). He will fly to Sydney and he will practice for a week. For the past few weeks, there was confusion about Rohit’s injury.

Captain Virat Kohli spoke of lack of clarity on this issue. Rohit was hurt in the left hamstring during a league match while playing for Mumbai Indians in the IPL. He was ruled out of the four matches of the IPL due to this injury, due to which the selectors did not consider his name for the tour of Australia.

After missing a place in the Indian team, he returned to the field to captain his team in the IPL, after which the BCCI said on November 9 that Rohit has been excluded from the limited overs team only so that he can be out of the Test series First you can get fitness.
