Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who became the man of the series for his brilliant performance in the T20 series against Australia, said that T Natarajan was the real recipient of the award due to his superb bowling.

29-year-old Tamil Nadu fast bowler Natarajan made his debut in international cricket through the third ODI in Canberra. He took 8 wickets in four matches.

Pandya tweeted, ‘In this series you performed unmatched Natarajan. Debuting on behalf of India, performing brilliantly in difficult situations shows your talent and hard work. You are my brother, entitled Man of the Series. Congratulations on winning the Indian team. Natarajan also tweeted and thanked her.

29-year-old Natarajan took one wicket for 33 runs in 4 overs in India’s third-round defeat in the third T20. India won the series 2–1. Natarajan took three wickets in the first T20 International and two in the second match. 

He made a brilliant debut with two wickets in the third ODI. India won this match by 13 runs. He was selected in the T20 team, but was later included in the ODI team as a back-up to Navdeep Saini.

Navdeep Saini was suffering from back pain even before the series started and he had scored a lot of runs in the first two ODIs.
