Two factor authentication is being introduced on the video conferencing platform Zoom. It is also called multi factor authentication or two step verification. This will prove beneficial for better security.

After enabling Two Factor Authentication (2FA) in Zoom, you will have to provide proof other than password to log in to Zoom. Generally people use PIN or OTP.
In the two-factor authentication provided in Zoom, you have to enter a time code from the Mobile Authenticator app, or SMS and phone calls can also be resorted to.
Two Factor Authentication Zoom is for mobile apps, desktop and web portals. Even if Google Authenticator user, you can generate code here.
This is how Zoom’s admin can enable two factor authentication
- Log the Zoom from your account and click in the Advanced option to access the security settings.
- There will be an option to sign in with factor authentication in security settings. Now from here you can select the option of Enable 2FA for all users.
- You can select enable 2fa for roles with specified roles to enable different users from the admin account.
- After selecting, click on save. Here you have selected the mode of two-factor authentication, after that it has to be used.
